Myopia In Singapore

In Singapore, as many as 36.7% of children between the ages of 7-9 have myopia. Locally, the high incidence of myopia can be attributed to environmental and genetic factors. Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, can be treated.

While its effects are irreversible, prescription eye drops have been shown to slow its progression.
